Synopsis Coming at the back of the inspiring Iqbal and the impeccably scripted Dor, Bombay To Bangkok is Nagesh Kukunoor’s maiden attempt at a complete masala film। And it is not a bad effort at all. StarBoxOffice.com Review Acting: This is Shreyas and Nagesh’s third consecutive film together as an actor-director combo and they once again come up trumps. Shreyas’ character has shades of comedy and innocence which he portrays with almost natural ease. The scene where he is clearly in awe of getting a massage from Jasmine is hilarious and so is one where he prescribes Viagra to all his elderly patients at his first day on duty as doctor in Bangkok. 2007 saw Shreyas making a genuine attempt to stamp his authority as a commercial actor with Om Shanti Om and he tries to carry it forward with B2B. Direction: Nagesh’s direction in the first half is lively but he fails to maintain the pace throughout. An overdose of Thai language is not quite the right recipe. The climax is too predictable and with not many memorable moments to boot it is more of a drag. Among the scenes that do manage to strike a chord is the one in which Jamke gives a pep talk to Shankar to go all out and win his love. Music: The music of Bombay To Bangkok is pretty decent. Same Same But Different is a funky number while Dheere Dheere Chal Zindagaani is melodious. | ||||||||||
